Behind the scenes
The bridal designer Delphine Manivet gave a filmed interview to the Express Style team in her Parisian workshop. She presents her relationship with creation and her feelings about the wedding world.
First, the stylist visualizes the product, draws it and then, looks for fabrics and manufacture. For example, for the future collection 2016, Delphine Manivet reveals us her first inspiration, that is a movie scene from “Proposition indécente” in which Robert Redford evokes “a buttoned up dress”.
The designer guides the filming team in her workshop, where are preciously kept sketches and fabrics, including her favorite material which is Calais lace. We learn that the brand creates her own lace with unique drawings.
It is also interesting to learn Delphine Manivet talking about the obviousness between a bride and her dress. We understand that this idea allows her to create styles with perfect cuts and timeless design.
